 ...what's in YOUR cone? That's right--it's not over yet! We've got many new ideas (some good and most cheesy) popping into our heads every day and this is one that I'm very excited to share with you. The Scoop! is PSU's upcoming webzine, featuring bi-monthly (that's every 2 months) issues printed on The Scoop's website (which has yet to be announced) for your enjoyment. Issues are sim game oriented (obviously) and each issue we'll have a different new theme--design, the game boom, new owners, you get the point. Combine this with a little of our classic and yes, we admit, slightly punny humor and you've got a winner! We can't wait to dish out the first issue to you all. What to be expected? We hope to have these features in future issues of The Scoop:
Assuming that writing might just be of interest to you, I'll continue. A webzine is a FUN community effort, and I know we've got a lot of talent in this crowd. If you're interested in writing for The Scoop! then just shoot me a PM with what you'd be interested in. Choose: opinion, feature, interview, review. Game owners, artists, programmers, we hope to be reaching out to at least 190 members by the time the 1st issue comes around. All PSU members will receive notification in their inbox upon arrival of the newsletter, urging them to check it out. Which is why The Scoop! will be a great place for you to advertise for your game or service. A well placed and well designed ad can speak volumes for your site and increase awareness of your product or service. The Scoop! plans to offer paid advertising, after the first issue. We're business owners too which is why we really get the importance of your budget, so all advertisement is inexpensive and cost effective. PSU is a business as well which is why we hope to raise some extra money for our site upkeep. Your adverts help us as well! Show of hands: WHO'S EXCITED?! I find this title epic, just for the record. Also in case you're wondering, we won't be making any kind of profit from PSU. All small funds we get from advertising (which will be very cheap xD) will go toward things like ad removal, renewing domain names, etc. ^^ I hope some of you are interested in writing!

The Scoop is actually the name of an ice cream parlor by me. xD I'm definitely excited for this! It's like the Siminar version in mini form. =D |

Awesome to see all the positive replies to this, thanks everyone!  Always love to give new writers a chance so if you know of anyone who might be interested in participating, pass the info on! I can't wait for the first issue... that reminds me, back to work!  EDIT: you can now check out the site at www.pixelpaige.com/thescoop, stay tuned for further updates
