Has anyone on PSU (or anyone on PSU know someone who has) created an LLC in the UK? I'm looking to do something a bit like what Jade has done, putting more than one game under a business LLC. I'm not sure if it's much different in the UK compared to the states but if anyone can help me I'd be very greatful ^^ |

I don't know anything about forming an LLC (or if they have LLCs) in the UK but I do know that you can get an LLC in the US if you live in another country. That might be something to look into... try talking to your local chamber of commerce for more information on types of businesses in the UK. |

They don't do LLC's over here as Jade said. I'm currently looking at setting up as a Sole Trader and getting some liability insurance, there is a lot of information on the internet to tell how you to set up as a Sole Trader, you will need to do your own accounts and things, register with Inland Revenue etc. I'm in the process of doing it all now. You could also go Limited which adds a bit more security to your site but costs an awful lot more, as well as is a lot more complex to run/set up/keep going. It's all out there on the net though, banks are also well versed in setting up your own business so ask them as well for extra advice. |
