Posts: 46 Group: Members Member #195 Joined: Aug 16, 2010	So I have started to try and learn Php since I've always wanted to make my own sim game and/or helpling another sim out. All I can really do is make graphics and I know basics of HTML and CSS. I know what I'm doing on those but when I go to try and learn php I wonder if I even need to learn half of this stuff. I have a few books but was wondering if anyone has any really good learning php books that give good examples and same goes with web sites. Also is there like any certain php coding I shouldn't bother with or is all of it used in sim games? Also is there any other sort of coding I will need to learn? I don't want to start building it and get like half way only to learn that I need to go learn something else that might take a long while. XD

I suggest looking at free codes (google them, and look at the free ones on Kah's post in FP) and figure out what each and every function does, and hwy it is needed, and why another code was not used. It;'s going tyo take a long time to become well-versed; and it /will/ be a bumpy ride. But I wish you luck along the way, and the awesome people here at PSU will be there to help at almost any time.

I'm hoping once I finish it, and than the other one but it focuses more on Dreamweaver, that I can at least get the basics of the sim down. XD
