@ Paige On the took Color do pages work good on the internet? My problem with it is its size it is 7inches, I like I pad because it is much larger. @ Lint How well do sims work on it? Also: Can you save book marks for Nook Color and or Ipad. How does the browser work? What do you think of Kindle dx, will it work for internet and or going to sims? I think I may consider the Nook Color. I would like to get the Kindle dx but maybe my late 2014(When I got to college they will have it out?), If not I am sure there will be new and better models. I have a NookColor and my stepdad has a brand new iPad. While I'd probably rather have the iPad, I love my nook. XD It does run flash and I have never really had any issues on the internet with it. You can save book marks in the browser. It uses an Android OS, so sometimes if you go on sites like facebook it will give you the mobile version of the site but it doesn't really bother me. As long as you turn down the brightness on the LCD screen (it's really, really bright) it doesn't really cause too much eye strain. |

@ Raver or Anyone Else I did look, and I think I decided that the Ipad is nothing special and in-fact nothing very interesting I look about it. How does the Nook Color load for Sims ? How fast is it? Anything Else? Do you think the 7in screen is okay(The only reason I ask is because I don't have the best eye sight)? I would be using it daily, School Bus and During a car ride for skiing. Plus I love to read so this is a huge plus! Though for college I will most likely purchase the kindle dx hoping it will come in color by late 2014. I love it large size which is perfect and textbooks storing. I am not a big B&N fan, I love borders, there much cheaper. However could you tell me how much books cost on Regular for a Nook Color. Also how would that work? Does anyone have any information about that Kobo E reader Touch Edition by Borders? As For the Nook Color: I took a look at prices and such and added to the cart, Just to see. Could you tell me which model they are(link). The reason I ask is because I am unable to were EarPhones(They Scratch the inside of my ear(Long Story). The Only reason I would purchase the Nano is because it can be a watch. I like the option because when I ski I prefer something that attaches to you and has no chance of coming of. In a jacket this is possible(I were Spyder but even Spyder Tech can not out do my falls). I also like it for school. Thanks for the help Everyone! |

The nook color has given me no loading problems for any sims that I play (which are numerous at this point, haha). It can be slow depending on your internet and it does not open multiple tabs at once, though. The 7in screen doesn't bother me as you can zoom in and there are plenty of font options for books that you buy (font type, size). The only other drawback I can think of is that the battery life maxes out at 8 hours, but this has never been an issue for me. For the nookColor, there is a store option built in to the bottom menu that you can click on. If you have the 3G Wifi version, you can access it anytime, but otherwise you need a wifi connection (they have free ones in every Barnes and Noble store). I'm currently reading part of a $.99 collection of 25 favorite novels (classic stuff)... Typically, they'll send you coupons and such by email for 10% off or so. I've seen books (text books especially) cost upwards of $50 but usually you can get classic collections for .99c. Newer books cost about what you'd pay for them used (typically $5-$12 unless you catch a sale). I only bought a hard cover (it looks like a book) and protection plan for my Nook and my mom has a silicone soft cover for hers; really it's just personal preference, but if you'll be toting it around a lot I'd suggest a harder cover. You can use any headphones for it and it can store/play music (thank God for that on my 7 hour plane ride XD). If you haven't heard, Borders is going out of business, so I'd probably wander away from them as an option. |

Yes I saw that Battery life is not all that. I don't know if it Will be enough for me? I do have a 1hr 1/2 bus ride back and forth, Depending if I will have a study I will use it so thats about 3-4hrs and thats using wifi all the time. So should that take up more battery life? Can you connect to any Wifi Spot or to Verizon? I would prefer that harder case because it will be going to school and on in the Car for skiing, not sure if you ever skied but before you get on the slopes that car is crazy, of-course depending on how many people in that car you have for us its like 2-6 people. I have not been to there website for a couple months, and I like to go once a week. I just saw and was so upset! How is buying them out? Not sure how true this but, if you purchase apple or for Nook Ear phones, are they beter quality? Or is this just something to get you to buy them? |

Wow, I doubt you'd have to get all that for the Nook o_O I'm getting a refurb direct from Barnes and Noble, they sell them on eBay, $50 cheaper. I'd say you'd only need one case, again, look around on ebay or craigslist for that and you'll find a better deal. And earbuds do NOT need to be that expensive, lol, you can find some much better ones on ebay or amazon. Heck, you can get a nice pair of Apple earbuds for $10 on amazon (http://www.amazon.com/OEM-Headphones-Handsfree-Headset-Remote/dp/accessories/B003JOEVD6). But that's just me--I hate spending money so I always search around for the cheapest way out, which explains why I buy refurbished and only shop ebay/amazon/craigslist. As for Borders, I would NOT buy an ereader from them or use their services, I loved them as well but they're bankrupt and have announced they're closing every single one of their retail stores--not a good sign, you can't count on their ereader app or ereader then  But yeah, I hate to see them closing... very sad.

I forgot, Does anyone has a Wacom(The reason I ask is again because of my carpal tunnel). Do you think it is a better choice? Or do you think just buying this (below), Is a better choice? I do love spending money, I think I get that from my mom. Though my I love even more spending other peoples money. hehe(She looks away). With refurbished do you still get a 2year warranty? I rather just buy one out of the box. If you get what I mean. I don't like to risk buying very expensive electronics over ebay and I don't trust craiglists. As for Apple earbuds over Amazon I can not wear thous type. I though if you buy a pair of earbuds from the model or item you are using, the sound quality is better? I am very up-set about borders! It was my favorite book store and the one nearest to me. I have never been inside or shoped from Borders. So this will be a new experience all together for me. Sorry for the Spamming! When you say the Nook Color can not have multiple tabs. You mean it can only do one thing at a time? I looked into Sonys Ereaders, What do you think of them? I am interested in the Ereader Daily Edition and Ereader Touch Edition. Can you still surf the web well? It would seem if you don't have color its not as conferable? I am still looking into tablets, Does anyone know any screen bigger then 7inches? |
