UK Siminar 2012 - Meet Up

Posts: 386 Group: Members Member #24 Joined: Jul 4, 2010	Well, now the dates have been finalised I thought it might be a good idea to start the ball rolling with the possible UK Siminar 2012 Meet Up I suppose the first thing really is to do a roll call for anyone wanting to attend. I know a few of my players on MysticalEquine are wanting to come so I will be posting to our news to direct peeps here LOCATION: HALIFAX SOUTH PREMIER INN HOTEL, HALIFAX, WEST YORKSHIRE I have looked at accomodation for Friday and Saturday night. With my discount it is £36 for the Friday, £43.50 for the Saturday (thats PER ROOM). Unfortunatly the Saver Offers are not live yet and MUST be booked via the Internet (ie I cant get that rate) so if you WERE looking at accommodation and wanted to go down the Saver (from £29) route, you would have to book yourself (WARNING: Saver rates are non-cancellable). I have prov saved 4 rooms so far at this rate (Im staying over too as its easier) Not sure if those interested were wanting to do just Day1 or just Day 2 (or both) so we would need to decide that. As stated before, the meeting room is free for us to use. It can hold upto about 30 peeps (so I very much doubt we would be run out of space!). It has plent of power outputs for us techies and we also have a VERY large screen/brand new projector to put up Siminar on the big screen (I can grab an extra lappy to do this so we aren't using our own) I would also provide refreshements (sandwiches, drink, crisps etc) for lunch OR there is an onsite restaurant for those who wanted something a bit bigger Depending on how many people decide to come stay over, I think a nice idea would be Bowling in Halifax on the Fridayif interested as a 'Getting To Know You' kind of thing as in all reality we are strangggggerrr! (LOL!) No schedual yet in regards to anything over Siminar but we can work this out once we have a rough idea on numbers So, please post with basic form if you want to attend Name: Day1/Day2/Both?: Room(s) Required?: Edited by Avalon, Jan 17 2012, 12:31 PM.

I think we will be coming up on the Friday and staying 3 nights till Monday, might hit Alton towers on the way home as I've never been lol. Also do the rooms have wireless or is that extra? I'll be bringing the boy but I don't think he will go to the conference itself so he will need something to amuse himself

Wifi is installed throughout the hotel..its £3 a day (but shhhhh! We will have free access :P)
